Event Burwood

Event Cinemas Burwood wanted to upgrade their movie experience, so they called in Alloyfold to give two of their cinemas a proper makeover. The job involved installing 247 top-quality cinema seats across two distinct experiences - a General Admission cinema for everyday moviegoing and a premium VMAX cinema designed for the ultimate blockbuster experience.

The General Admission cinema got a sophisticated look with 45 Rossini Elite cinema seats and 48 Tchaikovsky Riser Elite Recliners, all featuring the premium Gaia Graphite fabric on touch points paired with Black fabric on non-touch areas. This combination creates a modern, comfortable feel that's perfect for regular cinema visits.

The VMAX cinema received the full luxury treatment that matches Event Cinemas' premium "big seats, big sound, big screen" experience. With 80 Rossini Elite seats, 68 Tchaikovsky Riser Elite Recliners, and 6 indulgent Tchaikovsky Sofa Beds, all featuring top-shelf Black Vinyl Ebony on touch points with Black Fabric on non-touch areas. This creates the premium look and feel that VMAX customers expect when they're watching the latest blockbusters on giant state-of-the-art digital screens with superior sound systems.

The best part of this project was how well Alloyfold and Event Cinemas worked together. Through regular catch-ups and custom design work, the engineering team made sure everything fit perfectly - 600mm wide seats that worked with the existing setup. The LED step lighting between the rows adds a nice touch that makes it easy to find your way around even when the lights are down.

The clever bit was the Tchaikovsky Riser design, which meant no major building work was needed - the recliners just mounted straight onto what was already there. Each seat comes with electric controls, adjustable headrests, and proper footrests for maximum comfort. Event Cinemas got their branding sorted too, with custom embroidery on each headrest - red "FULL RECLINER" text in the General Admission cinema, and white "V-MAX Full Recliner" and "V-MAX Double Daybed" text in the premium VMAX cinema. The whole job was wrapped up on time in October 2025, proving that Alloyfold knows how to deliver quality cinema seating that matches each venue's specific experience requirements.
