Prior to the 2011 Christchurch Earthquakes, Alloyfold was working with Christchurch's Salvation Army HQ to specify seating for their new building in the pipeline. All plans went on hold when the earthquake hit and now almost 6 years later the Salvation Army (Gracefields) have celebrated the much awaited opening of their new HQ citadel. 355 Alloyfold Church Chairs with enclosed backs were purchased and placed in this state of the art building. Alloyfold worked with the architect and interior designer to choose the best fabric colours and design to fit in the purpose built building. The building was opened in April 2017 and the seating is a celebrated feature.
