Our Company
Alloyfold's core business is a mix of manufacturing and importing a range of seating and other furniture to serve the rental industry, commercial projects, auditoriums and churches, cafes and restaurants and general households. Alloyfold's signature product and namesake, the Alloyfold aluminium folding chair was designed in the late 80's and is where the story of our company begins.
An Alloyfold chair can change a life.
Here's how. In 1998, Alloyfold was founded, a company wholly owned by Pathway Trust, a registered charitable trust. The Trust was established to support those in need of assistance in our community into long term positive life change. This vision included providing jobs, accommodation, life skills and mentoring to the people we supported.
In 1998, Alloyfold began manufacturing Aluminium folding chairs in Christchurch, New Zealand and provided jobs locally to those working with the trust. This folding chair was sold to the rental market in the USA, Australia and in NZ and has become a well respected brand. With dramatic changes in the economy, manufacturing and production had to move to the USA and products needed to be diversified. Using the experience gained from selling the Alloyfold Folding chair it made sense to expand into other lines of commercial furniture. The Alloyfold range now includes resin chairs for high use markets, blow molded tables for rental companies and event venues, waiting seating, cinema and church seating. Alloyfold now has offices in Christchurch and Auckland and operations in the USA and Australia.
Deloittes Fast 50
As a result of the success with the Alloyfold chair and the expansion of our product range, Alloyfold was made the Deloittes Fast 50 three years running in the Fastest Growing Exporter and Fastest Growing Manufacturer category.
Back to the Trust
Alloyfold has taken the daring leap of mixing business with social objectives and profits from sales of chairs, tables and other seating go to the trust to help carry out it's social work in the community.
Oak Tree Labour Hire
Alloyfold's sister company is Oak Tree Labour Hire, a container unloading (devanning) service which employs around 100 staff a year. Their employment and development are a key part of the fulfillment of the goals of Pathway Trust.
When buying Alloyfold products, knowingly or not you can be sure you are supporting positive change in our community....Thank you.
