ALLOYFOLD NEW ZEALAND is wholly owned by PATHWAY TRUST, a registered charitable trust based in Christchurch, New Zealand, which exists to assist low skilled and disadvantaged individuals into employment and long term positive life change. All Alloyfold profits go to the trust to help it carry out this work.

Alloyfold New Zealand's core business is the supply of products to the Rental Industry internationally and locally. It does this through a mix of manufacturing it's own product and representing key agencies, which it imports and exports.

The company's signature product is the Alloyfold chair, an aluminum folding chair that was designed in New Zealand in the late eighties and became the industry standard here, a position it still occupies.

In 1998 PATHWAY TRUST was set up by founding Trustees Mike Goatley, Murray Kennedy, and Victor Tan and they remain trustees today. The Trust bought plant and immediately set up it's subsidiary company and began manufacturing Alloyfold chairs.

In 2000 Alloyfold attended it's first trade show in the USA (The American Rental Association Show) and soon after began exporting chairs to the USA.

In 2001 Antony Brett joined the company, initially on the factory floor, and subsequently took up the position of Sales Manager for Alloyfold products, a position he occupies today.

In late 2003 production was moved to the USA for economic reasons and the Alloyfold chair continues to be manufactured there today. Approximately 80% of production is now supplied to the North American market.

Alloyfold has a sister subsidiary, OAK TREE LABOUR HIRE whose core business is the unloading of shipping containers. Oak Tree employs 50 labouring staff whose employment and development is a key part of the fulfillment of the goals of Pathway Trust.

Pathway Trust also operates an accommodation facility in parallel with it's businesses which assists those in need as necessary.
